• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Fastway footpegs and poor's man brake pedal tip!!!

I installed the fastway footpegs on the bike today, they look niice and strong!! it's wider than stock and you can choose to install at the stock height or lo-boy, I used the later on to try it out, I'll let everyone knows how they feel once the bike is up and running again!

I also managed to brake the brake pedal tip, and since the ktm one I ordered 3 weeks ago is on backorder, I decided to "make: one!! nothing pretty but I hope it will get the job done!!!

You shouldn't ride barefoot... those pegs can make your feet bleed. :thumbsup:

Sorry, I couldn't help but notice all of the red blood... umm loc-tite you put on.
 
I know it is too late but you really do not need loc-tite on these pegs. It is next to impossible to get the cleats out once you do this. No big deal though as they are very hard to wear out. I have these pegs as well and like them a lot. If you have the rubber sole boots like in a Tech 7, be careful when dismounting your bike. I was loading up one day riding my bike to the ramp, I tried to hop off while moving and dis-mount when my left boot stayed on the peg and I went down right before the ramp. Other than that they are great pegs and very tuff.
 
I use anti-sieze on mine. I lose a pin a few times a year but they are cheap at the hardware store. I just want to be able to get them out with pliers since an allen wrench will not work once the pins are used much.
