  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Handguards!!!....
Popped into my local shop and got some 2011 model go faster husky handguards.. mounted them up to my 2010 te 310.
they look awesome, perfect fit ,i was never fond of the round 2010 type but these are great. and fit much better.. gives the bike a whole new stance and feeling when sitting on it.. love them...
my bike has loads more power, better handling, and higher top speed.. cheapest upgrade yet! its all in the mind

Brake turns at the local MX track are so much easier with them.......

Did you just get a 2011 TE310?

Or did you install 2011 TE310 hand guards on your 2010 TE310?
 
the clue is in the title & then the next word....
just the handguards for clarity....but can report if the 2011 bike goes as good as the handguards.. holy smokes its going to be awesome
 
Yeah ok....... I'm not a huge fan of titles that don't reflect what a thread is actually about.

You got me too. I was excited to think Europe already had the new 310. Until I saw the massively heavy valve train in the third picture. I suppose we could all get you back now by telling you the new 310 weights 13 pounds less and has dual map ignition timing. :)
 
Hi Kot will take a couple of pics of the mountings tomorrow, they screw through the pivot point on the levers... the front brake hand guard moulding rests against the brake reservoir to stop it coming back. the clutch side requires a small zip ty.. much more solid that the 2010 ones. look like they are stronger, better located and take more hits..
 
had this one already on file will shoot the other tomorrow,
nicely thought out and no messing with brackets on the bars
