• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Footpegs?

As I understand it, all Husky footpegs are the same fitment on all models from about 2008 onwards. Is this right?

Also, would the TE610 hanger /footpeg support bracket be the same item as on a TE630?

This would be perfect if it'd fit:

Looking at the parts fiche they look the same, and have almost the same part number:

80A0 87580 on the TE610 and
80B0 87580 on the TE630
feef,
I have a spare set as I replaced them with Pivot Pegz (they are the mutts nuts).
You are welcome to them if you cover shipping from California.
Regards,
Wayne from Wales.
P.S. Loved the report by the way.

Thanks for the offer.
I've got a spare set of stock pegs already.

The big question is the hanger bracket.

Ive swapped pegs between 610, WR300, TE250, TXC449/511 and WR250...I did have to grind an ear off the 610 on the right side. I have little doubt that the 630 will also accept other Husky pegs.

One of these days I'm going to pick up some grade 8 or better bolts for things like the footpegs and the rear subframe mounts...

Haven't had any real trouble on my SMS, but I'd assume that's because I spend 95% of my time on pavement. I do stand on the pegs pretty often though...

I can confirm that, other than being silver, the 610 footpeg hangers are identical.

I've mounted them using some brake caliper mounting bolts that I had lying about from one of my FZR400s as I'm confident that'll be a reasonably strong steel
