    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

G.P.R. Brake lever and more - I'm working for you

I have the exhaust installed and took pictures but don't know how to paste/download them. The exhaust was very easy to install, took like 30 minutes complete! The factory exhaust came apart without even loosening the mufflers, they just pulled off smoothly! The exhaust gasket on the head is a thin funky 2 piece thing that I reused. Most important thing is the positioning of the clamps so you can get to them and tighten them properly. The band on the muffler is very tight fitting, I actually installed the band and bracket on the muffler first then the bracket to the frame. The header pipe comes close to the shock spring and rear brake line so make sure it has enough clearance before and after you tighten it, might not be a bad idea to install another zip tie on the brake line just as a precautionary measure. It sounds more like a Honda XR600R now, I didn't notice an improvement down low, but it does seem to have more of a snap in the mid range, I don't know about the top end, I don't rev my bikes that high and it's a thumper anyway. I did not notice the weight savings either, thought I would as the duals were high placed weight. Still waiting for the rear brake pedal.......will update as I can.
 
GPR sent me an email a week ago about the brake pedal and stated it was available-- not sure what the hold up is. Looks to be $80 USD plus $25 for shipping. They also have a nice pipe replacement to allow you to go to one can, but at $300 it makes more sense to just get their custom exhaust setup.
 
I ordered, bought and paid for a single exhaust and rear brake pedal on Dec. 4th. 3013. I received the exhaust and installed it. I have yet to hear anything about the brake pedal. When I have emailed asking about my order they reply with a price quote for the brake pedal, like they don't understand I already ordered and paid for one. I think there is a language barrier? I have received some help from other members and it has been helpful but I am still not receiving any information about the brake pedal I ordered and paid for back in December. Has anyone else ordered a brake pedal, if so have you received it? I'm just not sure if they're even making this item or if the production is just delayed? Does anyone have any information? Thank You
 
Mark if the email you have sent in 3013 you'll still have to wait long hahahah. Joking aside, as has already been said many times, GPR is a very serious company, I am sure it is only a delay for the sake of greater cause. However, I try to contact them and I tell you something. Hello

Hello! Yes I received the brake pedal, it looks nice! I haven't had time to install it yet, I can take a picture of it in the package though! We have bad weather again, when it settles down I can install it! Thank You!

Does it come with EVERYTHING to mount AND make it function, or should one plan in hitting the hardware store?
 
WARNING! Thanks to some field test, unfortunately, we found that the lever hard use has a tendency to bend too much. A neighbor brought me your time to familiarize yourself with this problem. I have reported them to the GPR and I have already answered that will review the project to overcome this drawback.
As soon as I have news on the timing will let you know.

Just curious if the re-design of the rear brake pedal to prevent bending has been completed. Are new pedals that are ordered today a stronger design?
 
Bump.... Are these ready to go? Can we order them?

If not anyone have more info on the F800GS swap or another aftermarket option?
