• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC Getting a new 2015 TE300, tell me what I am in for?

Halls truely is a great place to deal with.....

My buddy is in charge of dealer development for Gasser.... He's got his personal 2 2014 EC300s for sale for $5500 each.... seriously considering.... waiting to ride first... the 09 EC300 I had I like the motor and the clutch action was much better than any KTM but the ergonomics were made for short people

2012 up GG fit better for bigger riders.

Still don't think I've seen a GG in person yet, even saw a TM lol. Congrats on the new bike, they look amazing. I actually just saw an ad for them in dirt bike magazine. Prices look great even at msrp :)

Gas Gas looks pretty nice in person.... they are not as "finished" a bike but very nice.... I havent rode the lastest version.... when I get over hernia surgery I will be testing my buddies out.... I can pick his 14 EC300 up for 5500....

I rode Bills new GG300, it was very good. Liked the bike a lot, motor was excellent, bike felt good. Did not love the fork and the seat was very hard.

So stoked, already ordered hand guards, a upgraded silencer, and backup air filter. Also found that my 50 tooth Husky rear sprocket bolts right up to replace the 48 tooth that comes OEM.

Hmmm gas gas....
After toying with the idea of going thumper I have reverted back to the Smokey side (current ride: WR250) and am tossing up between '14 husky te300, husaberg te300 or a ripping deal I can get on an ex demo '15 300 exc.
Any advice? Aside from the linkage rear end any other key points? Have heard husaberg and husky got different cylinder porting.
Not wanting to throw oil on the fire here but from previous experience PDS can be made to handle exceptionally well for my type of riding if you put the wrench time and patience into setting it up.

I'm weird.... I kinda like a hard seat... because what little I sit I wanna be able to slide around....

Moving around on the the seat is very important to my riding ...Sitting in one spot is not the way I go fast on a bike or keep it balanced ... I did put a new seat cover from here (~$3 and ~$2 to have it installed, maybe $7 total?) and it made the seat feel a little better; I realize I'm on a dirt bike so I'm ok with the seat. I'm ok with my GFs' personal seat also ..She is still 100% in business and not gone belly-up. With that said, she is ok with her belly button upwards. I'm Ok with that belly-upward button also ...

Good luck Mr. 95Jersy on that new Husky ... You might have to search for it, but Husqvarna is now sitting on the cusp of dominating MX \ trail riding, the same as SP has guided KTM to do in recent yrs... Some of the winners might be riding your bike ... I use seat time to make my bike perform better ....

Why no Sherco on your list of possibilities? I'm hearing lots of good things about them. I will likely be getting either a new TE300 or the Sherco, the latter of which I have not seen or ridden yet only heard tons of good things about.
