• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Getting new bike Thursday! Excited any thoughts or ideas..

The funny thing is I loved my trail converted 2015 Tc 250 and because it has low hours (probably) 50 just planned on riding it for another year! Out of the blue my buddy calls (hilariously) enough hr is still riding the 2001 husky 250 that he bought new from halls and we rode together to go get then headed to Missouri to ride! Big difference in those two bikes lol! If I don't like the beta I'll take a grand beat up (got bike for $7500 otd) and jump back on a husky...going to plate beta and if I race next year will probably strip everything off including electric start! Should be 220 pounds tops then....I am excited and with bike sitting next to 15 husky honestly looks like a coin toss to me!

Looks like you did well. I have a local dealer that sells both and it is nice to be able to compare side by side. You can always throw a Li battery in there and shave a couple of pounds.

Nice! My wife and I will be camped at the west Huntersville trail head not this coming weekend, but the weekend after that. Stop by for a ride if you get bored.

Sounds great my buddy Jim who bought my bike chip and a few others will be riding as well! Let's try to hook up and do so.e cold fall mn riding! Sounds great
