• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Getting old takes all the fun out of it.

Hey yall, it's Rick's youngest Madii (15 y.o.)

Just wanted/needed to put my two-sense in and say that Dad's doing good and although his message above may seem like he doesn't like Jack (Crash2) he loves him. They play all the time and go on walks every night. I swear he treats that dog better than he does me! Jack is Dad and me's baby, Mom says that he just takes to us like water.

We will always remember Crash (Maxx) as our first puppy and he could never be replaced but having someone else to love and care for doesn't hurt either(:

Oh and btw Dad.... HACK HACK HACK HACK HACK HACK YOU HAVE JUST BEEN HACKED****************************************!!

Maddi, you have your hands full, not with Crash II but with your dad. What am I saying? I have a ten yr old girl and she has me wrapped around her finger, your doing fine. Scott

Ain't nothing sacred in my house. They got my bathroom, my bed and TV and now my web site and web buddies. When will it ever stop?

May have some good news on my back with new x-rays. results came back as no spondy and "unremarkable lumbar spine" Had to look that up, means no problems found. Sent MRI and X-rays to a radiologist friend for review. He said from the pics and his interrogation of me it sounds like a ligament tear. Did this intitially in Dec. 2001 with the same symptoms as now and alot of previous flair ups. He said it probably never healed right and that has caused me being unable to lift much 15-20lbs for the last 9 years. He said a easy test of that is if it hurts tighten up my abs and see if the pain goes away in my back, it does**************************************** He recommended me to the Doc. he went to for his herniated disc and was able to avoid surgery. Have appt. to see him next Monday:thumbsup:

Rick, on the subject of nothing sacred. When we found out we were having a girl my mother gave me some advice. She said congratulations you did your part now your job is only to provide, you are out numbered and argueing will be futile. I said anything else? She replied yes, "glad I had a boy" they are easy, just try to keep them alive untill eighteen. Should I be worried that my ten year old daughter sits in my 39 Chevy "gasser" pretending to bang gears and tells me she wants to take her driving test in it?

This is NOT TRUE! I am 75. I know that it hardly ever happens any more. But when it does, it´s a lot more fun than modern youff seems to have.

Seems like great news on the back. At least they/you have an idea of whats wrong w/ hopefully a cure. Fingers crossed for a "easy" solution/remedy (no knife anyways).

Hell Yea********************************************************************************! you should be worried. Once that divers license is hand - you'll never hear the end of "...... Daddy, can I drive the hot rod. I'll be really really really carefull. I'll even spend my money for gas .....". You'll give in b/c shes' your baby and she wouldn't tell Daddy a lie.

Then you'll start noticing new "scratch" marks all over the neighborhood/city.

Have a good ticket lawyer on your mobil.

"Back" on a bike

Well after close to five months after hurting my back I got back on a bike this weekend. I credit a great Chiropractor for the improvement. Not once did he ever "pop or crack me". What he did do was find the problem, cause of problem and then a treatment plan. The treatment plan was specialized exersizes to build the muscles up again. Got on a friends little IT 175 this weekend at the ranch and rode for a half hour with no pain! Felt so good I stopped before I got stupid, read 15 yr old brain! Spent last evening back in the garage on my Husky projects with a new attitude:thumbsup:
