• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Golden Tyre GT216AA review

I have also noticed the rear feels less stable while running the Fatty as well. Seems to be a theme here with several riders feeling it too. I'm running a 130 Michelin S12 Mid soft with a heavy tube and 13psi. I plan to run the new Kenda K787 tubeless so I can run 4 psi.

I called Kenda and Dennis Kirk last night to find out why the 787 still hasn't showed up(Early March was claimed arrival). Kenda says they started getting containers however the tires received were for the race sponsored teams and the distributors shipments are due any day now. I have 2 on order and plan to run one in West Arkansas single track next month if get it in time.

Just tried out the fatty this weekend in mostly slick mud and hilly terrain best front Ive ever had. Ran it 13psi and I also tried the Sedona mx907hp found it worked best at 7psi but going to try down to 5psi. I was running Tubliss.

I ended up buying a Battlecross X30 because my local motoz dealer didn't have any enduro I/T in stock. If I win the lottery I'll buy another fatty for summer and keep the battlecross for a backup tire.

Thanks DM for the suggestion on the Battlecross. I got to try it yesterday on a very unique day that started out dry and dusty, then turned to light rain, then to snow. It was on par with the GT216AA. In fact braking traction is maybe a little bit better.

I like the Motoz Tracionator ST paired with the fatty , only rear that I have tried that seems to have close to the same grip as the 216
