I picked up my TC250 from Motoxotica today. Dealing with Dan at Motoxotica was easy, and worth the drive. He went over the complete bike with me, took his time, and made sure I did not have any questions before leaving. I would recommend anyone buy from him.
At first glance the bike looks great! Just like our WR125 with a different motor.
It does not feel much heavier rolling it around the garage, and sitting on it. You notice a bit more weight when tipping it side to side, but not much.
Overall the quality looks great. There are a few things that I noticed (see poor quality pictures below):
petcock will not sit flush
chips in paint
The kill switch wire needed to be re-routed, remove of the check valve on the tank vent hose, get some clearance between the radiator hose and pipe, and zip-tie some of the wiring to the frame to keep it from bouncing, and a few other things.
However, the quality, overall, looks great. I am pleased with the fit of the plastics, which are better than our '09WR125.
I ordered an Uptite skidplate for it, which looks awesome.
The bike started in 3 kicks with my dress shoes on. The engine seems to race with the choke on, and have a difficult time idling without the choke. I have a JD Jet kit to install, and have the carb mods in the mail. The bike sounds pretty raspy with the stock exhaust which comes with a US forest approved spark arrestor. The bike is green sticker, and even have a smog/EPA/CARB sticker on it (under the seat).
I am going to grease it, put on my handguards, and JD Jet kit and take it for a couple of rides this weekend. Ride report to come.
