help getting my 2010 te250 ride ready

well picked my new te250 nice bike and just need help getting this bike ready for the single tracks and flowing single tracks.........what do i need to get for this bike..........please help me get it ready??????????

what gearing..........13/52 or 12/50 or ????

what suspension settings...stock or ????

what efi fuel settings work best ?????

what bolt on trick bits do i need ???

and any other useful info would be great

We went 13/51 and all worked great.

suspension was bone stock and set soft

P3 carbon skid plate(protects the oil line)

P3 Header guard and mid pipe/pant burner if not(stock is useless)

Check all wire routing and rub areas including battery cables anything jingling around is not good.

Front axle nut .. Zipty unit

Case save..A MUST Rock or something fly's up and goodbye case and clutch hydo unit.

Carry some extra fuses as some others have had problems.. They looked good but were bad..

Otherwise it is a great bike out of the box..

zip ty the battery down in case the strap fails it will send the battery into the air filter,13-52 was not enough for me in our area,1st gear is just too tall,I may give a 12-52 a try and see if that helps along with an auto clutch

well going to try a 12/50 set up because riding lots tec single track and farst single track.......... hope this setup will work

suspension settings would be a help im 80 to 83 kg with gear on

I opted for the 12/50 setup as well and I couldn't be happier. I saved money by not having to buy a new chain and the larger sprocket and the feel of the 12/50 turned out to be perfect for the type of riding I do. Going to the 12 on the front transformed my TXC from a finicky, clutch sensitive MX'er to a tractor that will lug through most anything without excessive clutch work or stalling.

Regarding suspension (I'm 190 lbs with gear), I stayed with the stock suspension without modification. I dialed the fork compression out (softer) by 3 clicks and the rebound out 2 clicks. I dialed the shock fast comp out 2 clicks, slow compression out 3 clicks, and rebound out 2 clicks. In other words, I softened everything up a bit. I ride 99% double and single trails at "old fat guy" speeds. The softened suspension soaks things up well and preserves my 49 year old back!
