  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Help Identify Jet Kit in my Used 07 TE510

J-train

Husqvarna
AA Class
The previous owner told me he paid to have a jet kit installed. I had assumed it was probalby a JD kit as that is the most common for these bikes. Today I was going through the box of extra parts the previous owner provided. I found a little zip lock baggy with some carb jets, a needle, a full length throttle stop and the cap for the AP. On the bag there is a lable with a part number 8000A8242 Kit Caburatore. A quick google search identified this as a factory Husqvarna carb kit. Now mind you I have not had my carb apart yet to see what is actually inside. The bike seems to run pretty good, only real issue is that I can in no way kick start it, and it dies if I try and rev it real quick before it's fully warmed up, other than that it seems pretty good. Pretty sure an experienced kicker could get it started, but I have know idea what I am doing. Never kicked anything but a two stroke. I have a reciept saying the kit was installed but thats it.
Any of you experts can shed a little light about kit 8000A8242?

OK, this was off an old Ebay description. Parts inculde. All the parts in the bag I found match these, means my carb must have never got any of these installed, even though the dealer charged the previous owner for the install. Things I do know, my throttle opens 1/4 not 1/8 and the AP cap is in the little zip lock with the other carb parts.
