• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

High Desert Plated Dirt Bike Rides

I am going right through Johnson Valley on the way to AZ to see family this weekend !

You ever ride Spangler ? Will be there the weekend BEFORE thanksgiving.

Spangle is fun. Jawbone, Red Rock.... Great hill climbing for those looking for a challenge. To bad they close most of the good riding trails down! I have to prep for the LA to Vegas Run that weekend :)

Be at the Hare and hound this weekend cruising around

Planning a ride from Big Pine or Crab Flats before Snow covers the area. I like the 2w01 to 3n34 route.

Anyone running the LA Barstow to Vegas this year?

Ken[/quote]

Hello Ken, I am signed up for both days of LA-B to Vegas. Also planning to do Los Coyotes Dash to Ballarat on Nov 10th as a pre run. 08 TE 610. Also, I just subscribed on Jeff aka Bolt's thread on ADV. But it would be nice to exchange info between Husky owners.

More Husqvarnas, the better! We might wish to move the Barstowvegas to a new post. I will be riding my Te511 and currently only my sister has been brave enough to try the 450+ mile ride! Odds are she drop out after day one after I take her on the hard route and then I will be Solo riding day two :excuseme:

One of my ride buddies is hosting a ride in JV using his D37 Hare & Hound Race course tracks. Should be a good time. Great course.

Bikes only... Aggressive Novice to Intermediate desert and rock garden riders minimum please.

Post up if you are interested. More details HERE - Sorry for the redirect but that's where we started talking about the ride.
