  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

History of the TE310

A Class
I've got my heart set on a nearly new Te 310. I’ve not rode one yet. I raced a smr510 supermoto and now ride enduro practice on a 05 te510 and race enduro on a 04 wr250.

There are a few second hand 310 bikes for sale now here in the UK.[ I actually agreed to buy a 2011 Te 310 £4100 last month via eBay but the seller called to say the bike had been stolen the night before collection???]

How do the 08 09 10 11 12 models differ?

Is there a 310 with an old style carb.

Could i convert my te 510 to a 250/310. Would the frame be to heavy?

Thanks mark. [Logic tells me to get another husky wr!!]

The original 310 was an Athena kit that bolted on mostly 250's. That said the previous models shared the same crankcase so it might be possible to drop down as well although I am not clear on the cyclinder head aspects of the 450/510's
2009 the 310 was a factory run with fuel injection as was the 10 with only modest changes
2011 saw the introduction of the new 310 based off the previous years new 250 motor.

I an leaning that way. Just have to see it as delivered. There are some questions about the exact components...

well im more like 'dreaming that way'
they still need to take the test of time ! i will be watching this space!
ive never had a brand new bike before

I have had 5 huskies never had a mechanical and only ever replaced consumables-bet I've done it now

Do you notice any difference in feel from the frame and/or the shock change on the 2012?

No !

Frame Changes ??? Not sure there are any ??? As for Shock , still not fully set up but so far so good (I was also happy with Sachs !) .

I believe the frame was strengthened or stiffened and I often hear that frame flex effects handling so I was just curious if you could feel anything different.

Cheers.
