• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

how many left kickers do U have?

Very nice ! Is that an asche pipe ? Hard to tell in video . Stock reed block ?

I don't know actually.. looks like stock but not sure and think the reed is stock too but also not sure.. I actually haven't really worked on the bike.. just started collecting all of the parts to get it to be how envision the bike to work.. not even sure of that sometimes.. I want to ride trail with it so got handguards, malcolm smith skid plate, plastic tank.. that now I think I might not even use the tank . I just like the look of the stock tank.. got new plastics , kick starter,shifter.. some of the parts missing.. I got new bushings for the rear shocks..still adding..

As it is I'm riding trails and everyone seems to have only new iron.. say 2003 and above. This bike ought to open some eyes..

Hard to tell from picture , is it straight across bottom or 1 continuous curve ? If you can find a good picture of a stock cr430 the seams line up differently .

I started with one 88 400WR around four years ago, which expanded to:
85 500CR
85 400WR
88 250WR
88 400WR
91 610TE
07 500CR (Speedyauto's old bike with 500 6 speed)
Love the parts interchangeability between these bikes, makes life so much easier!

I take them apart but never part them out, thats just sad to see.
Happy to put a 87 XC back on wheels next summer.
