• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

How many miles? Post your ODO!

88,000. I sadly didn't take any non-dirtbike road trips on it last year, and only one short one the year before that. I aim to rectify that situation this year though.

Let me understand,,,, you did 88,000 miles with your SM610, right ??

If so, its amazing :applause:

I'm closing in on 19K miles on my 630. Can't say that they have been trouble free but, for the most part, they have been...and they sure have been fun miles.

It's a sad day, just posted the bike on Kijiji, 3300 miles! :) How's that for a mixed message.

The 88,000 miles, mostly trouble free or is it a bit like Granfathers axe?

Had it apart at 54k for a new countershaft. I bought it in 2010 with 4600 on it and for the first two years I had it I didn't know (or think) to grease the counter sprocket splines. The other major blowup was 100% my fault, I did the annual valve adjustment and didn't get one of the exhaust valve adjuster locknuts tight enough. It backed off, the adjuster backed off, and the other adjuster broke. Chain reaction catastrophe resulting in everything that moves in the head getting replaced. But like I said, that one was 100% my fault.

My WR300 two stroke is at about 15000 Km approaching about 600hrs, still on the OEM low end, cylinder plating and clutch. Not bad I think.

YMine is around 45000 km. Nothing major so far but I did have to replace two pistons though that's not the bike's fault. Ex owner ran without oil, replaced with HTM piston that blew the oil ring 7000 kms in. Replaced with new OEM and all good now. Had to adjust carburation a lot - the dell'orto bikes run extra shitty without some adjustement to the jetting (that and I am a perfectionist). Other than that the counterbalance woodruff key just broke, which is really the only fault the bike had
