    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Looking to sell my 2008 TE 250 with around 1100 miles on it - what is realistic price to ask for this bike! Here is a list of the aftermarket goodies, I have considered selling some off the parts of the bike to lower the cost if need be, I would prefer to sell it complete!

-Power Up Kit
-Uptite Skid Plate, Y mod, axle nut
-Renazco Seat
-IMS Tank
-Trail Tech Headlight
-Motosportz Disc guards
-Motoz tires
-tubliss inserts - front needs installed
-BRP chain guide
-Bulletproof Rad guards
- P3 Carbon Pipe & Mid Guard

Have stock tank and exhaust! The bike was used mainly for dirt roads, with about 100-150 miles of single track! It is a very nice bike. Located in Northeast Ohio! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
I really don't know about what final price to ask for the bike. Sorry.. Unless you wanna sell it to me for a dollar.. :lol:

BUt my advise, you pretty much never get your $$$ back for accesories.

So if you still have stock parts I'd switch out things like the seat, headlight, and MAYBE disc guards, rad guards, axle nut. Things like those you usually seem to get a pretty decent return on selling separately.

Personally to me, the only things that would benefit in selling is the PU, so it stays running correctly, and then the very basics, like handgaurds and skidplate.

I just gave an even 4k for a 07 TE250 with only 450 miles on it. Seemed fair. Mine is mostly stock but has been jetted and sorted.

I've seen new 2009's advertised at prices similar to the KBB value posted earlier. Maybe there is a bunch of fees on top of that but one thing I've noticed in the last couple of years is that you DON'T buy a Husky for good resale value! Keep it and enjoy it, they are great bikes!

Very well said. Husky ownership is out of love not other economical reasons. This is why I own one and will have it forever.
 
I agree with the statements about KBB also. I bought an 08 TE250 last year for $3,300. It was completely stock except the rear tire. Only had 648 miles on it. I guess you just need to see it and make sure it hasn't been beat up. What is the value for private sale? This is a more realistic price to look at. Hope this helps.
 
I understand the resale on these bikes and that the aftermarket parts do not add much value to it. I have not used it enough and would like to make some room for something else and wanted to list it for a realistic price, I would like to sell it not sit with it in the garage all summer! Forgot to add - has the P3 carbon fiber pipe guard and mid guard! Here is a quick pic.

I would take all that stuff off and sell it on Cafe Husky and ThumperTalk and sell the bike for $3900.
 
Nice bike ... Everyone is always screaming about larger tanks ... All the accessories will push your bike to the front of the line but returning UR cost 4 them is not too likely ...

Removing them and selling as pieces might work to UR advantage ...

Is that a different seat? The stock one on my 08 TXC is really hard on my butt to say the least ... That one looks soft to me :)

And what about those front blinkers? Are those an add on also?
 
The seat is 100 x's better than stock, best add on I did for the bike! The blinkers are from electrosport, nice and compact!
 
Nice bike you have there-

I don't know for sure what it would sell for in the US, but in Ontario a package like that should easily get $4500-5000, complete(package deal). Our dollar is almost at par right now.

You can get good value as a package deal, as long as you have kept all the stock parts you have replaced. The key is hanging onto the stock parts for when you sell the bike. If you get rid of the stock parts, you have no leverage and will get 0$ value for any of the aftermarket add-ons. Kitted out used bikes usually don't sell for much more than a stock bike, unless you have the stock parts to sell with the bike.

I recently sold a package deal bike with all the aftermarket and stock parts. I got a good price and didn't have to go thru all the PITA & hassle of selling pieces one by one over the course of several months. I got the value of a good stock bike plus about 50% of the original cost of all the aftermarket items - which is about the most you can expect by selling them off one by one - if you're lucky. Many items only get 20-30% of original value.
 
I still have all the stock parts - the only thing I don't have is the stock blinkers! I seat used my stock seat pan and that is the only seat I have for the bike, the new owners ass will thank me,LOL!!!
 
I am going to list the bike for $4000 local with all the parts - stock and aftermarket! If I don't get any interest I will strip the aftermarket parts and sell them and lower the price of the bike - I will return all pm's about parts in the order they were received**************************************** Bike has 1006 miles on it!
 
Whats it worth?

For the record the local dealer (Heinons) is selling them for 4599.00 Not 4399.00 also must add 175.00 service fee plus 75.00 doc fee for a total of $4849.00 NOT 4399. Also keep in mind Heinon buys a crapload near end of year and is honestly probably 500 to 1000 cheaper then another dealer. This is good and bad. Good if your buying one and kind of bad if you are selling. I would just check around and see what they are going for and base it off of that, not what you can steal one for at Heinon
