  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husaberg TE250

Don't worry....at this years NE Gathering we are going to drug Norm and tatoo a huge gunsight with the "H" so he has no choice ever! Maybe a full back piece!

Thats too bad. I rode the Berg 2Ts last week and loved them. The biggest problem is the lack of bikes available. I was one of Canadas biggest Berg dealers last year and KTM Canada will give me 2 300s and 3 250s. Thats it. Pretty tough to get excited about them if you can only get 5 units.

I already am oversold on 300s in hopes that a few extras will be available over the winter.

Are they bringing in the tiddler Scott ???

I got to see a TE300 in the flesh the other day, way sexier than a KTM ever was! Pics of Bill502 checking it out....

Slag away, you KTM haters..... I own a '12 Huasberg TE250! Nice bike, I'm liking the 6 speed, E button, dual map ignition and the easily adjusted PV. The OEM Dunlops suck though. It doesn't turn quite as well as a Husky '09 up 125/150, but handles a well as a Husky 250/300. I'm getting it more dialed. The WR/WB165(or any of my other three Huskys) isn't going anywhere, but was ready to try something different and a '12 WR250 wasn't doing it for me and the Gas Gas slow boat made me skip that option. Too bad Husky couldn't have given the WR250 a little more love the last few years.

Give us a ride report once you have it dialed Norman.

Differences are interesting ... 2.9 gal OEM tank is nice after moving heaven and earth for a large tank in '09, but push button gas cap is silly. Same size nut on front and rear axle, but fasten seat from underside of the fender?
