  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

What is the hole in the upper left hand corner? Looks like a screw should be in there. What is the deal in the lower left hand corner it looks like something should be there as well.

you can add a kick start if you want and not have to buy a different case.
its a pretty standard way of doing it.

Yep, it's just too bad that it costs $350+ for a kickstarter assembly and a few gears.

believe it or not, the hole at the top is so you can blow air up in to the spark plug cavity before removing the plug to prevent dirt and debris from falling in to your cylinder

Yup... a must when changing your plug.

Just make sure that hole stays open.. Heat and condensation builds up in that chamber and it will blow the spark plug cap up off the plug but not always out of the cylinder..

If you find the cap not pushed all the way down on the plug some time you'll now know why..lol

blimey, didnt know that......... when i have removed my plug i have made attached a tube to my hoover and cleaned all around the plug before unscrewing all the way.. ahh what a muppet..:D. this is ace though..

thanks for posting this up.. something new learned.

I would also check that little round glass window on the lower right hand side. It should be at least half way filled with oil... :-)

It's full when the bike is upright. I just got this bike so should it be halfway filled when on the kickstand?

Between the two lines on the right side of the window when upright is properly filled.

Yep Just use ur needle dic:censored: to clean it out!
All joking aside what a great invention. I hope the brain that figured that out gets a Ferrari or somethin. As far as the kick starter plug I have seen red plugs before. From pics looks like its just cheesy plastic?
