  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

I got new Husqvarna smr 511 2012 and I want to know what engine resource does it have?

If you ride medium)Don't rev it very often in cuty traffic...

Not sure what your asking but parts are EZ to come by. If you ever need something big like a case or head Bills has a motor they are parting out. It is a super solid motor with very few reported issues or failures so I would ride it confidently (and do)
 
So will it stay alive after 20 000km riding in city?

And how often it is better to change oil and oil filter?

I change my really black oil after each 1000km(but manual says me to do it every 5000km..hmm...)

And i use motul 300v factory line oil.

I'm guessing by your username and sentance structure you are east of Europe. Perhaps some of our oceanic neighbors could pipe in for parts resources there.
But as Motorsportz says, they seem to be fantastic motors with very little issues. Ride and enjoy :-)
 
Hello my Russian brother! Burrr, Moscow is too cold for me! lol.. 22,500 km is the engine life for the BMW 449 platform. Change oil @ 500-750 km synthetic.
 
Hello. I am from Moscow too. :) Change oil in my TE449 every 500km. I think SMR will run ~1000km as "street use" on one oil change. This is lite mode for 449/511 engine.

So after 22.500 km i will have to rebuilt my motor and then continue husky riding,yea?:)

But why manual says to change oil on SMR every 3000-5000km?0_0

Maby because this motor is restricted comparing to TC and has more engine life?
