    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Well I just picked up a '12 txc310 the other week from the dealer, and I saw another 310 sitting there with a really thick and strong looking skid plate on it, and it occurred to me I would seriously want to consider getting an aftermarket skid plate for the riding I want to do. I asked where that skid plate came from and they said it was out of husk's parts catalog. This was news to me because I didn't know husky had an aftermarket list of upgrades, so I went online and found the catalog and started looking around on it. Now I can never leave well enough alone when I get a new bike, as it seems my head runs wild with all kinds of ideas on things to add and make the bike better right away, but what this long story is getting around to is, has anyone ever tried some of the stuff from husky (i.e the steering damper or other things). Im curious to know how their aftermarket selection stacks up to everyone else in the off road world. And if you have never taken a look at the accessory catalog I will post the link below. They even make their own boots?!? :eek:

Go to motosportz.com before you order. Even the steering damper looks cool :). They make most everything for protection too. Also a site sponsor

It is fun flipping through parts catalogs though.

Some of stuff is nice. I wanted the seat cover, then some graphics for sons bike. They don't even know an est on warehouse stock?

wow, that's no good. Get motoseat.com to do a seat cover for you $50 or less (Depending on what colors you want).
 
I have used the skid plates and some of the anodized parts etc and have really been impressed with the quality, although some parts are quite expensive. I work at a dealer in NH and just ordered a bunch of clothing, gear, graphics and hard parts from the acc catalog for stock and there were only a couple of things back ordered. Much better than a few years ago when you could get none of it..
