  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husqvarna sm 450 rr 2009 part compability

Husqvarna
A Class
Hi, I just got myself Husqvarna sm 450 rr 2009 small project bike. I would like to know what engine parts are interchangable with te/tc Husqvarna and from which years? Very hard to find info on these bikes. I would at least need water pump, possibly also clutch master cylinder rebuild kit.

Go to:
1.) halls-cycles.com
2.) Parts and Accessories
3.) Parts Catalog
4.) Husqvarna Motorcycle
Start your research.

I use this website: https://shop.italhusky.com/en/products
Just search the part on your bike. And return the parts number into the search bar. It will give you all the bikes that contain the same part...

Are you sure it is a genuine RR? Since it has some unique parts compared to the normal series, compatibility will be lower...

Yeah I tried looking up from that, tho they dont quite specify rr anywhere. Apperently atleast the cases are the same and almost the parts of atleast 08-10 should be interchangable.

Heres the bike, still in litlte rough shape, needs some work

The RR is specified seperately; https://shop.italhusky.com/en/products/2009/smr-450r-530r

One thing I can see is that your motor has a kickstarter. Either somebody retrofitted it, or you have a TE engine. The SM did not have a kickstarter.
There should be a part number casted in the cilinder, 8000B1799

In this article you can read about some of the differences between the R and RR (Adjustable suspension, carburator, rims etc)

The kickstarter seems to be retrofitted as the kickstart dosent properly fit there but cannot be sure, the cylinder is one from te 450, cant say for sure if its just been replaced at some point tho. Need to open up clutch and see if there is the slipper clutch
