• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC Husqvarna TC150

Norman, you are right. He said it was a 15 but he was probably talking about when he bought it. Lots of yakking going on and I was trying to listen and blather back to it all. Lots of smiles on the faces as they came back from riding the bike.

When I bought my first WR125, I could have spent $500 more and gotten a WR250. Both were extremely cheap for the going price at the time. I still think it is more important to get the bike you want rather than a compromise for something because you save $500. I will gladly plop down my $7999 for the TE150 and know I am getting exactly what I want. I could spend $800 more and get a 250 Sherco and that is an option or $900 more and get a TE250 and both would make me happy but I am probably more attuned to the small bores and at the end of the day they make me giggle and smile more.

I reserve the right to change my mind but at 60 that doesn't happen very easily. I know what I really want and have a dealer like Bill that will make it happen what ever it takes. I think there will be a ton of riders that will be sold on the TE150 goodness when it gets here. I sound like a total sunshine pumper but I do know what I like. If you want to hear a negative then yes the TC150 suspension doesn't work for me as configured. But I haven't had a bike that didn't have completely re-valved for me suspension in ....... well not in my foggy memory.

Sorry that was the 16 that was 8899..... so 1200.... sorry freaking ridiculous for a 150 to be 8 grand.... and a 300 may need 2 grand in crap bolt ons in places but east coast hand guards, skid plate and radiator guards is it.... the rest is stuff we "think" we need...

Oh that's what you call Play Dough!

I'll just cut somewhere else to make up for it.

I'm in for a new TE 150.

Seems quiet on the western front. The press releases say nada about the 150. I did see a 150SX in the flesh the other day though.

I went to my local dealer Thursday, ready to put a deposit down. He told me he decided not to order any TE150's, as the FE250 is street legal for '17 and he always had trouble selling his TE125's. I had talked to him a month ago asking about pricing and when they would ship. I didn't want to put a deposit down until I had a firm price. I paid full retail, shipping and set up on the '15 TE125, because I wanted it so badly. The dealer didn't have one and had to get one through the Rep. I'm not doing that again....

Damn Norman, that sucks. I have 70 plus hours at work in since my last ride a week ago. Have another week ahead just like it. Add that to doing a stroker mod for Got a sol and I have been/will be swamped. Don't know when I will get to ride next.

Corey at Smart Carb, gave my carb another update and the latest rod for the small bores. I will install it and it will be my next ride on the 150. If it can work as well on the bottom/mid as the Lectron and keep the upper mid/top then it will be an incredible carb and make the motor even that much better.

I have to call Bill and make sure that my name is on one of the TE150's that he has coming in.

As much as I loved my Walt Smith CR 165 and then my Zip Ty Racing CR 300 which both bikes help me win National # 1 plates There is just something about my new 2016 TE 300 that has me wanting to ride just one bike.
The TE feels like a 125 has the motor of the 300 and the tuffer and harder the trail gets the better it works and if for some strange reason it stalls there is that button.

I hear ya Ajax, since I bought my 15 te300 I haven't spent much time with my vintage bikes or my other projects. The thing is just freakin awesome to ride in just about any terrain doing any type of riding.
