Hi all. Be easy with me as this is my very 1st post on the Husky cafe. And I must say waht a top place this is.
I need help. Ive checked forums, scanned google and hunted for info, alas, still cannot find why....
My 510 2005 in consuming engine oil like its going outa fashion. There is loads of white smoke coming out of the rear pipe and im guessing its burning oil big style. The bike is using around a litre of 10/50 oil every 50miles. There does not seem to be any loss of power, no strange noises, infact the bike is running sweet.
Im guessing the rings may have gone and need replacing. Or could it be something else? values, guides? etc
Service history:
-Oil and filters changed every 10 hours of light use
-metal filters cleaned
-no large particals on sump magnet
-air filer cleaned and oiled
-no rattles or noises
-running and starting fine
Anyway, if it is the rings, advise on where to purchase piston, barrel and rings would be great. Im in London, England so a UK supplier would be great.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and please, if you have any advise dont hesitate to reply, even if its basic stuff.
