• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husqvarna TE610E 2000 Oil amount question

Ayyyyyyy Lmao

Husqvarna
Hello, i've encountered a problem with the required oil amount for my 2000 TE610E. The manual states that the oil amount in the bike should be 2 liters, but when i tried to put that amount in my bike it showed that it's overfilled. I am unable to put more than 1,3 liters into the bike itself. My procedure was that I pulled both plugs, cleaned the oil screen, changed the filter, put some oil in the bike till it showed the level between those two notches and let it run for some time. I am seriously nervous about only 1,3 liters being in the bike itself because other people say, that they put about 1,7 liters into it. On the otherhand the numbers differ a lot from the people. Some also say that they put 2 liters and others say that they put about 1,4 in it. I am really desperat at this point because i don't know who should i trust. I want to ask owners of this certain bike, 2000 TE610E how much oil have you been putting in yours.

According to the SM-610R model year 2000 manual, it is 1.6 liters.

As far as i know, the year 2000 TE-610E and the SM-610R and the SM-610S have the same engine.
