• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Interchange list

i CAN'T CONFIRM BUT FROM WHAT i HAVE READ IT SHOULD.
Sorry about caps!
The issue appears to be in the rear if you tried to use an 18

ABS determines the wheel size from VIN/Parameter in Dash/BMS-E via CAN BUS, others who have fitted different wheel sizes to Terra/Strada have reported in other threads here ABS does tend to get confused at times with different wheels fitted but they live with it. A different tone wheel may resolve it, it also appears the wheel size is a parameter which could be coded in dash but I am not aware of any diagnostic software capable of changing the parameter

Allright thanks! I am just going to wing it. 21 inch front might give ABS issues, it might not. ABS isnt really necessary when I am on the off road wheels anyway (although it would be nice, since it is switchable and theres a lot of pavement between trails). Tone wheels appear to be the same for the 21 and the 19 inch front. I will stick with a 17 inch in the rear anyway for convienence and because it is more readily available second hand around here.

Great Thread.
Hope to keep riding this bike for many years.
Been thinking maybe we need to not only think about interchange list. What are we going to do when KTM no longer has to support the bike per EU regulations? (kind of like KTM does now)
Maybe we can all get together and find sources for parts that are no longer available. If enough riders show interest we can solicit a smaller manufacture to produce parts. Possibly share modifications for go-arounds. Just thinking ???

There's still enough of those stands for sale in Europe, I just found one for half price on some weird German webshop.

Edit: half priced stand turned out to be a Chinese phishing scam. Luckily noticed it in time so I could get my money back.

Ok so I thought I would start a thread on parts that fit the Terra for What ever.....So first one

Rod,

We actually have both bikes here in our showroom and the rear hubs appear to be identical. I am confident that the sprocket for a G650GS will fit the TR650.

Subject: Rear sprocket

Will your SS-49T sprocket fit the Husky TR650 rear hub ? Husky cafe says some gs parts work. Could send me the bolt lay out and hub diameter or confirm.

Thanks

Hi, I'm not sure if this has been covered before but the Honda CRF foot pegs fit perfectly.

Just wanted to jump in here about wheels/rims:

Does anyone know what rims fit the Terra/Strada? I bought the Strada and noticed the BMW G650 GS rims are basically identical. Parked next to one the other day and the brake/ABS rotors are also identical. Does this mean I can just purchase whatever spoke rims fit the G650 series for my Strada? I'd like to get spoke rims to swap out, but so far the only rims I've seen that's marketed for the G650 bikes are like 800 apiece which seems absurd to me.

My plan is to have the cast Strada rims for commuting and the occasions I can finally take it on a trip it was meant for I'd put the spoke rims with knobbies on it. Maybe my Google-fu is terrible, but I'm trying to find what I can get for the Strada as far as rims, etc. I'd probably end up up-sizing to the Terra size rims (21/19 IIRC) and get a Terra front fender. I THINK I found a thread about that around here once upon a time, but can't seem to find it again.

Anyone have some info?

I have purchased a set of spoked rims 17' rear and 19' front from a BMW F650GS 2004 model and the wheels fit the terra perfectly using the existing spacers from the terra. The BMW discs, ABS rings and sproket all fit perfectly on my terra.

Hi, does anyone know if rear axle spacer part # 2345814 is the same as a BMW? If so, does anyone have a part #? Cheers
