• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

ISDE 2014, San Juan, Argentina Thread

Bummer for Milner, left a bloody mess all over his throttle and hand guard. Retired.....one down for AUS as well. PS he is OK just got all patched up with stitches.

Im a big fan of Matt Phillips, big kid, big speed the next big top tier Aus off road guy for sure.

I like the idea of the wooden lauch area at the ST start to keep the dust down, from all us yaa hoos doing the ST start dusty launch

looks like AMA D38 desert race.

Rob.... Next big thing? 2013 EWC Junior Class Champion and 2014 EWC E3 Class Champion... He is the big thing! If he wasn't still recovering, from that nasty foot injury, he'd be top 5 at ISDE for sure!

Yeah I noticed that timber launch. Saves digging a trench at the immediate launch in that type of terrain also.

Phillips is showing signs of lack of fitness otherwise he'd be top 2 .
Toby Price is doing well - 2nd overall ? He is someone that is not so well known overseas. Big fast desert rider - a lot of natural talent .
shame for aussie team - lost a couple more trophy riders :o

dust just killed a whole slew of guys event week.....not really a good thing at all. tough is one thing talcum powder course routes are a little bit dumb....folks work all year to get there, big $$$$ in travel from all over the world to have their race bike ruined from sucking dust that goes right through air filters. Seem the course clerk should have thought deeper about the course route. this is my opinion. what a bad view of the event, its beyond keeping your body and bike together for the 6 days. weather is a different story there have been ugly ones due to storms. This was calculated course routing in talcum powder trails and transfers. Next year run everyone throught a swamp....why not 1/2 the racers will drop out and DNF......the event is a big enough challenge, think a little about signing off on the routes cmon FIM jury.

dust ruined guys who are experts in dusty conditions, guys who know how to race and prep for dust. this was a bad day for isde comp for me. oh well......

just gotta be faster than the dust.........ask slow guys like paul krause, jeff fredette, nick burson.....taylor robert (who did end up relighting his machine.

like I said before looks a D38 dez race or the Nat H&H at superstition area imperial county east of san diego. tell me thats not the exact same terrain.

Super bummed that Fredette is out. First DNF in 34 ISDE's I would have to say Dust was a major issue. Same course tomorrow. :(
