As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Any rules for temporary rejetting after a new piston?
125 is giving rich signals low revs (sputtering on opening of throttle) and lean on top end (intermittent bog on and off revs) - this is normal?
Run in to about 300 miles now.
Could it be more than just the jetting - float level, for example?I would say not normal at all, If it ran ok before it should require no new jetting at all unless the bike was seriously worn out and jetted to suit the low compression.
Did you make sure the power valve linkage went back in the same place as it was before stripping it ??

When the bikes running say in 3rd an your going 35-45 ish when you crack the throttle open suddenly does she go wahhhhhhh
Or bububbuhhhwaaaarh ? Also does she surge at constant throttle speeds if so your main jets rich.
Also have you consulted the sweet jetting database in the two smoke section? I had mikuni tm38 wich i dropped 6 main sizes on and 4 pilots was still running rich, seems itallians like smogging themselvs on incorrectly jetted bikes then treat us with the same pleasure.

Does the idle hang if you chop the throttle? Sounds like its lean but dont quote me on that ive got a lectron.
If idles nice goes like stink up to 6th wide throttle open how long before it dies?
And does it keep going after you roll off the throttle?
