• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Yikes, I'd like to know the story behind that (or not?)...
As a claims adjuster I have seen hundreds of motorcycle helmets following single vehicle accidents and collisions. This one is common for a high speed single vehicle accident. It is simple a simple thing, to survive or decrease the severity of injury you better spend as much as you can afford on that egg cup! Trust me.

I would have to speculate because of the depth of the damage and the consistency of the damage, that that helmet got stuck under a car and dragged some distance.

The million dollar question is if there was a head in it or not!

That was awesome. I was loving how the image stabilized once the camera's free-fall spinning rpm matched the camera's frame rate. And then I was loving it even more when it landed face up and the pig arrived to try to eat it. Video of the year!

Danny Kent and Niklas Ajo debuted today with their Husqvarna bikes at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia for the first official training for Moto3. Kent put in a total of 69 laps, with a best lap of 1:41.029 —fifth on the timesheet. Niklas Ajo, with 54 laps and a fastest time of 1:42.169, placed twenty-second. I like the little Akro pipe, bet that's not silent.

I was curious also so I Googled it and it appears to be fake :) Everyone is using this picture as "their" crash! I have seen 1000 or more bike wrecks close up and never a helmet like this but was a great story :) I'll include of couple of pictures of a helmet I was wearing ;)
