• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Kellys ongoing goofy thread...

Is that a real shot of Kepler? Doubt it. Very interesting though. I'm sure they already have and just not telling us but life will be found out there soon. Very soon.

Absolutely impossible to go anywhere in space with our current physics ... We'll need another true Einstein or 2 to make any space travel possible ...

Not sure but maybe I've lost my goofy eye and it seems I'm short on goofy ...

But I'll try this one ... I was just eating here a couple days back ... Angel was probably around but I was just trying to make it home before dark and there were a few others there to keep me occupied ...

There is a physicist at Cal State Fullerton who has invented and developing a warp drive (Mach effect I believe) similar to Star Trek. I have seen it work on a very small scale, simply amazing. My graduate program is there as well, but in a different dept.

That's what it will take but we'll never see it ...

Said everyone in history.

the world was flat not long ago.
The Wright brothers flew in 1903
56 year later we landed on the moon which no one thought was possible at the time
in the 70's consumer computers were born. Now we carry high powered wireless computers in our pockets.
Never say never

Did you read the article? Not sure how true it is, but it draws off Einsteins works.

Every thing you listed is supported by our known physics ... And yes, I know you gotta dream to get any where ... I'm living proof of that one ...

Are you sure they serve food there?

Don't forget that smartphones are able to control remote control aircraft also.

Looks like Tinken needs to do more work on his golf cart...
