    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

SPORTING BODIES PLANNING TO BAN PODIUM SELFIES

Podium selies are set to be banned...
It’s been highly rumoured among sporting bodies that selfies will no longer be permitted on the winner’s podium
The selfie craze, which has become a global phenomenon, involves the art of taking a photograph of oneself, typically with a smartphone and then immediately sharing via social media.
The trend, which has recently become popular among those wishing to capture their moment of celebration following a race victory, is set to be stamped out for safety reasons.
In a 53-page document titled “Safety 1st, Selfies 2nd”, drafted up by safety officials following a painstaking 12-month study, it has been suggested that those partaking in the act of selfification are at a higher risk of falling off the podium than those who don’t own a smartphone.
“It's no joke, it’s getting seriously dangerous up there,” told John of Promoting Safe Selfies.

“Between the winner’s trophies, champagne bottles, product placements such a helmets, GoPros and the like, there just isn’t much room left for the riders to stand on the podium let alone take a bloody photo.
“Someone’s going to fall off and injure themselves. Where would we be then if the guy who just won the race ended up in hospital with a broken leg trying to take a selfie?”

I see a label for the Purple Coolant Additive. Maybe brand it as Tinken's Special Purple Phosphorescent Kool Aid. Where being cool is where it's at.
