• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Kellys ongoing goofy thread...

I didn't know you could call the transit authority of your state and ask them to shut down the road for you. Awesome! I'm going to call cal-trans right now.

Ya gotta call CHP too. Those guys love getting side money for film shoots. I work off a very popular road for filming and often have to sit and wait for the road to open back up. All the troopers I talk to dig the easy money. I end up talking about cars and bikes with most of them.

So funny thing, we had a very similar Ferrari in my dads body shop when I was a Kid- make it silver with more of a fastback look to it, anyway Friday at 4 was clean up day, all cars ran out ( except the Ferrari) those of you that know body shops, know dust, plus smooth concrete floors equal slick, awesome slides for a ten year old on a BMX bike, so there I was showing off for the guys with the biggest slide I ever did- right in the side of the Ferrari! Thank god the guys liked me, there was a huge imprint of me in the dust of the passenger door flopping against it, well long story getting shorter, they told me to disappear, blew off the Ferrari, and covered for the loud noise and me. Years later, like when I was in my 30ish years my dad asks me, do you remember when you ran into the Ferrari- with a gleam in his eye( they only blew off one side) That said that car was never allowed to be fired in that shop and I have always wondered what it would sound like, my imagenation was not to far off per this video. Sorry for rant, but brought back a pretty scary, good memory.:oldman:

I know right, i hooked up a ride an whent mad the hardest part was the go pro's the arial shots are a drone lol
