• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Kellys ongoing goofy thread...

we do have some dirt in SW MO you add a butt load of rain and it will made mud i love'ya Spud but you are going to hell [if you ever die]

Umm. Tasty.
I've seen more than 1 person do a turf taste with their upper lip but that's taking it a little farther. More like a survey. That looks more like a taste of turf from throughout the whole County.

Looks pretty stylish and juicy, juicy.

Especially with the photo transposed as a mirror image, left side to right side.

Lots of wetness splashing there. The rear tire, Hell the whole rear of the bike looks perfectly dry though ?

Just want to know, how do you do it?

I was just kidding about saying "how do you do it"?

I liked the video. Great information for all of us. Its too bad we don't have softer dirt here where I live that we could practice intentional get offs. it's something we all should know.

Yeah his vids are brilliant.
Some of my get offs are impressive sadly im usually wearing the camera.
Full body armour and knee guards are a must.

Oh yah.
No matter how hot it is.

I wear everything from thigh length full knee guard socks, "MSR knee and lower leg protection", O'Neal padded riding shorts, "AP Stars Bionic armored jacket" with built in kidney belt, any 1 set of 3 pairs of wrist braces I have, " Troy Lee, Six Six One, Or Allsports Dynamics". An "AP Stars Bionic neck brace", "AP Stars boots". Good lined riding pants with pockets, preferably. Any one of 4 Helmets. All of my helmets are set up with "Roko Quick Straps". For either Oakley O frame or Smiths goggles.

I never ride without any of this gear. Unless I'm wearing my "Scotts Enduro jacket" during the coldest or wettest weather that easily accommodates a pair of fox elbow guards underneath and has built in padding and armor that is removable along with the inner liner. It accommodates my neck brace too and has plenty of pockets.

I'm not trying to sell anything here. I just don't take any chances when riding off road. At nearly 57, I just don't heal like I used to. So I know better.

I wish all my riding buddies would get that. If they don't, Its not negotiable. I won't ride again with them.

If they don't have the sense enough to protect themselves. They clearly have no self preservation, so they will probably be the actual cause of a wreck themselves.

I'm not down with that and I'd rather not go down in a wreck because of them either.
