• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Here is a collection of interesting ideas that never caught on and is worth a look. Way to much to post and gets more interesting after you get into it a ways:

Yamahas came stock with boost bottles for several years. Of course, if you weren't around 25 years ago, you might not know what a boost bottle is.
I had them on my 2t's, came stock on my Yammys. Now they are on our 4t's. :D

Yes please. 2014 427 bigblock Z-28 sounds like the perfect mid life crisis car... if only i had some money :>)

OMG! A frozen over body of water is NOT something to play on. I bet even Jesus wouldn't be caught out on a frozen lake!
Surely you jest. I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not, but where do you think Ice racing comes from? Or how about the truckers that supply northern canada and such in the winter time. They all drive on ice. What you saw there was a dumb bitch that wasn't paying attention or isn't familiar with riding on ice. Why do you think someone went to the effort of pulling a massive branch out there to mark the thin ice, and the discoloration was a dead give away that it's super thin. Your location would suggest you're not from the northern parts...but Ice racing of all forms (car, motorcycle, sled, etc) is where its at come winter time. He's dammmmmmm lucky there were a lot of people sitting around, or the KTM would have been sitting at the bottom of thelake and he mighta died from hypothermia. I'm guessing he won't be making that mistake ever again.

^ Yes I know people ice fish, ice race, ice skate, etc. I know a family that lost a son on a frozen pond here when I was a kid. Playing on ice is not for me. Some sarcasm, some seriousness, yes.
