• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Knee brace review.

Guys,

Thanks for chiming in on these braces and my question above. The photos are educational and motivation enough to break out the wallet!

Good luck healing that leg.

Bugs

I tore my ACL and fractured my patella 10 years ago. I had the ACL repaired and my Doctor gave me script for custom braces. I went with CTi and never looked back. I was fortunate that I only had a $200 copay, with my health plan. After 10 years of hard use, they needed a couple of repairs and sent them back to CTi for a rebuild. I got them back better than new, with some updates included. It wasn't cheap, but well worth the money, as they'll see me for another 10 years.

 I don't wanna' look!

The braces I just ordered and linked above are EVS RS9 Pro @ $272 instead of $379 a pair.

I'ved had EVs RS9's (not the Pro) for a few years now and l think they are great value for a medium range knee brace, in fact any braces that limit hyper extension is worth their weight. They do take some getting use too but once your over that, l find l can grip the bike better.
The easiest knee injury for us dirt riders are those stupid ones where you come out of a corner and drag your boot on the ground, then the toe catches a root or rock and flings it back on that weird angle and it's a:cry: then  .

I have a pair of EVS Axis Pro Carbon fiber/aluminum knee braces for sale. XL size. Very good shape. Make me an offer. Maybe used 20 times. I'm thinking my racing days are over. :oldman:
