  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Knocking on brand new TE

Any idea where I can get the mobil1 0w40 or 5w40. Not a single bike shop or auto parts store has it around me in OC.
It's the Euro Blend stuff made for cars that they sell at Walmart. Ive always wondered how it's okay to use with a wet clutch but supposedly it is.

I'm pretty sure Walmart carries it. I used to use it in my Suzuki Marauder. Hey, I have a place in Mammoth. Great place to ride!

Opps, sorry for restating the obvious. I guess I should always look at the last post before posting.

Only place I can find it is Wal Mart. That and Rotella T for my Tiger are only things I will buy from them.

Sweet pic! Where was that taken? Any suggestions on some good Mammoth rides?

Sure! Great riding all around. That was taken on the marked trail from Mammoth to June Lake. The trail starts out past Shady Rest off Sawmill Cutoff Road and winds its way to the June Lake turn off at 395. Another great ride is up Laural Lakes Road out past the Motocross track. Another is up Bald Mountain and another is north of Mammoth at Virginia Lakes. The forest service road goes from there north and almost to Bridgeport. We took a trail up Kavenough Ridge (photo below) that topped us out over 11,000............ all with Stock jetting!
