    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Lady in Red 2 - who, why and how

Managed to get a new seat cover. The aim was to have it more comfortable for seating while not loosing appropriate features used while standing. Therefore - the seating area was a bit widened, and back portion was profiled lower and less steep. No change to sponge hardeness or seating area height.

Covered with artificial leather, with special imprint to balance between 'stickiness' and ability to move my butt around when needed. Red stitch is fancy but looks good. Was tempted to have 'Lone Grey Wolf' logo embroidered on the back part :rolleyes:

The bike just got through two sessions of service. And I got some second thoughts about that, some not very nice at all... Due to lack of time its barely ridden (~2100 km).

Fist of all, many bolts were loose straight from factory !!! And some dangerously loose (eg. engine bolts). Anybody experienced that ? check your bolts often and dont forget a tube of Loctite...

Secondly, after removing wheels, 'rubber' bands are in fact PCV-like, not keeping the tube securely in low pressure. And the band was twisted several times around !! Just went straight to the bin. Anybody changing tubes/tyres should consider changing bands too.

To be honest, I'm more and more worried to drive this bike. Who knows what more poorly mounted elements I will come about...
 
Hang in there Mario. I went thru all the fasteners early on and found few that needed a twist. Since the I have really hammered this thing off road, much more than I ever intended, and nothing has come loose or failed. The air filter fix is the only big thing to do. Otherwise it is a great mid weight adventure bike. Frankly I have been surprised how capable it is when fully loaded and tipping the scales at five hundred pounds.
 
This bike is now up for sale. I dont really believe someone would like to import that to US ;) but maybe someone from neighbouring countries in Europe...
