• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC Lectron

Hasn't showed up yet. I got an email today saying a shipping label was created. I rode it all day Sunday in tight very technical single track and it ran perfect with the leaner setting on the 3-2xl so I'm sceptical of the 2-3 since it would richen up the bottom and may load up in the tight stuff.

Any idea where you currently are on length?

Mine came set at 2.087" and I'm currently half turn richer.

Appreciate the information.

I called Dave at Lectron today and told him my issues regarding the blurble off closed throttle. He suggested the 2-3 rod and is sending one my way next week. I went out (lean) a quarter turn and it seems really good now. Overall I'm very pleased and the throttle response is smooth now. I'll be riding this weekend, tight trail stuff, so it'll be a good test with the new setting. I'm wondering if a Knarly and turbine core 2 would be a nice addition as well. Hmmmm:D

Then you can start over adjusting!

Talked to them today regarding this exact subject, great guys!
I'm at 2.058 and he told me the average range is metering rod 2.020 - 2.095, power valve 3/4 to 1 1/4 turns out from closed, and he said do not sweat the idle screw unless you have to screw it all the way in. I took notes...

This is for a 300 with a 36 mm crab and 2-3XL rod

2-3xl or 3-2xl? Just clarifying here. Thanks for the measurement reference! Dave said he'd mark my new rod as a starting point but I'll reference the current 3 2 xl location if I swap it to the 2 3.
Keep in mind I ride at or around 700' elevation so if you're headed to mountain trails our needs are different and Dave may give us slightly different advice.

3-2xl im pretty sure, he said its the same ranges anyhow.

I own a 2017 Husqvarna tx 300 and just bought a 38mm Lectron. It has a 2-3 metering rod set at 2.055". I have only started the bike up and have not been able to go for a ride yet. I will let you all know the result....

The Lectron on my TE300 has a 3-1XL rod in it and seems to be working very well. It ran funny when I first got it, but a 1/2 turn rich was all it needed to be perfect. Single track and farm roads ridden.

Do the 17 TE/TX300s need/require a 38mm Lectron? I've got a 36mm on my '12 WR300 that's coming off when I pull the trigger on either a '17 TX/TE300 or a 17' 300RR RE. Just wondering if my old 36mm is enough for the new 17s.

Don't the Betas come with a 36mm? You can always ask Lectron what they recommend, they're very helpful. They recommended a 36 for trail and 38 for racing on the 165.

There you go. Anyway, 38mm will def work, just may have to tune it. If you're just trail riding and have deep pockets maybe get a 36, but I'd install the old 38 and go!

lil different application..but the 38 on my 360 works great pulls clean and strong from low rpms in 2nd and 3rd gear. definitely wont have to worry about a restriction on top as well..

Went for a 2 hour ride mostly single track. Found it a little on the lean side. When I got home i Made half a turn richer. The plug showed i was a little on the lean side.....

Any interest in a very lightly used lectron?
I have a modded air boot, the carb, the motion pro cable, adjustment tool. Less than 50 miles. Purchased from Jeff at slavens racing. Paid 460 for everything.
Off my 16 te 300.
Dave
