• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

While your results are impressive and your loyalty to FBF great I bet you would have done just as good if Les did your bike. There are a lot of good shops, LTR, ACE, FBF, Halls dude. This thread "Les is more" was started to thank Les.

You are correct and i did not mean to upset any one my only point was
That every time some one runs a thread asking where they should go
get there suspention done alot of people says go to Les is is the best.
I post try FBF and then i watch as the person who asked where they should go says ok i will try Les
Just wanted to make a point how well my set has worked for me
Once again you are correct i should have read the thread again before i posted.

No problem and no one is upset just pointing out that this was a thread started to thank Les for his efforts not a thread asking who is the best suspension shop.

JK,
FBF did my 06TE450 with great results and I was always a Factory Connection guy before that (my 04TC450 and many KTMs before that with super support from Rick's team), I came very close to working with FC but decided to go with FBF,,,for me at higher speeds and with alot of LSCD hilly stuff the FBF set up was good,,but for tighter more technical tecate type stuff I never came grips with the HSCD valving,, but again Eraldo was always available to discuss and work with me. So there are many valuable choices out there,,,,for example if MB1 dialed in HSQ stuff I might be in line, Mike is genius and his CRFx set up was the best ride ever over everything. JK your results speak for themselves and the FBF set up as well I for one have great respect for your talent. I just wanted to give a shot out to different tuner this time and payed attention to the level of and the terrain of the NW guys and their choices so I went with LT-Racing, and this was as K wrote just a thank-you note deal. JK see ya at the Rynoland Nat HS? The 125 will rock up there,,its very tight through the manzanita ask Los anciano Don C .

Another satisfied customer of Les. I shipped them off to him to get re-sprung and re-valved. He knows his stuff. It turns out that there was a HUGE difference in the internal settings between the left and right forks. He really knows his stuff and worked with me to get the settings just right. I feel like it's a whole new bike now! It just soaks everything up and feels like I am riding on rails. The tires feel stuck to the ground. Between the suspension being done, and the new Up-Tite throttle tube, I have fallen in love all over again with this bike.

I am a very happy customer as well! Got mine back a couple weeks ago. I have had it out for a few short rips and there is a noticeable difference, can't wait to get out for an extended ride.

I have a new 610 and les lowered it 1 1/2" and installed comp. adj. for short legs and improved ride. So far great, the ride height is perfect for me and have about 150 miles on the bike. To much snow yet to get much off road in. However the bike is working great on the stuff I have been on. I tried to go offroad a little today and ended doing a lot of pushing in the snow. Oh well, its been a long winter so I did not mind to much.

Took it out for about 40 miles today at Carnigie OHV, I am very pleased. All the stuff I had issues with are gone. Bike tracks great and no rear hop anymore, very plush!!! Thank you Les****************************************

bought some stuff from him in the past. got good info from him for my new 610, will be using him again.

Huskys are always set up for really really really fat americans. IMO all modern Huskys need to have the suspension re-done, both springs and valving.

Perhaps the new TXC bikes are an exception.

Thanks Les:applause: Sent my forks/shock for my 08 TXC 450 to him and he has sent them back yesterday. should get them tue. He got them back to me 1 week earlier than I expected:notworthy: After I get them in I will post ride report should be better than all since we have the same name:D
Thanks Les at LTR

Had time to put a few hours on the shocks and forks after LTR worked on them...WOW!!! would be an understatement. Nicely balanced front to rear, smooth and buttery yet soak up big stuff. I came up short on a double on the practice track and thought it would case out or kick me off..NOPE!, hardly noticed...

One more thank you to Les!

I'll be seeing Les at the Taskys demo day this weekend. I'll tell him how you all love his chit, as if he didn't already know.

OK I guess I will stop riding this fine machine and say very, very nice ride now and getting nicer as I get on it harder. The lowering has helped me a bunch (real short here) I feel that this has tamed my TXC450 down and has given me a great ride. Thanks again Les!!

Going to send the 250 legs out soon. This will be a drop and tune deal. Should be great!!

  • How much is shipping?
  • How many are you going to do?
  • How soon do you want them done?

Last bike.
About 100+ for "them" to pack and with over 3k insurance.
No big rush.

At some point, if enough people are going to have their suspension done from this area, someone could drive them up there for less than the price of postage.

Shipping from Boise ID to Les was 43 and change with 3000. Ins by Fed X ground, shipped on sat. he received it on Wed!

$43?.....think I'll ck out FedX next time.

I put my forks/shock in a hard plastic gun case, UPS Store then had to use two boxes to wrap that + also $3k ins, and stuck me for $120 (from Boise).

It's about 550 miles from my place to LT Racing. I drive a '02 Dodge Ram w/4.10 gears running Superchip 91oct program, and could have driven there for that (at todays fuel price) and still had $$ left to take my uncle in Seattle out for a cheap dinner........but guess the few days stay over waiting for work to be done and drive back might have been a bit spendy.

Sign up for the ups account (anyone can, it is EZ), throw them in a gun case, print the label off your computer and ship it ground for about $25. The mailbox stores rape you.

- hope no one here runs a UPS store :D

I definitely went brain dead and screwed up when I sent mine......could have (should have) sent thru our office account.
