  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

By chance does the ktm clutch lever possibly fit the huskys 09 te450 magura clutch perch? Say like the Enduro Engineering part # 23-103?

Thanks

the KTM levers to, I think 04 work. KTM switched to brembo clutches after that.

I could swear that my 05 250 had a Magura on it. I remember that I was glad that the TE and the EXC could take the same lever sets.

KTM switched to brembo on the smokers with MY 06 and 4 stroke in 08. all magura levers fit. so do the brake levers of KTM

I bought a ktm lever for my 07 te and then couldnt figure out why it wouldnt start. Then I realized that it didnt have the little nub on the inside of the lever to hit the clutch safety switch. But after i disconnected it, it worked fine.

most of the husky and ktm levers are not inerchangable. there are some aftermarket ones by CRG and Paizzo but they are hard to get a reply from. front brembo on a SMR for 06 is supposed to be the same as on the yamaha R-6.. if you are looking for shorty's, they are the only ones i have seen that will work. the zeta's don't work on a husky, ..... anybody else have any finds......:excuseme::excuseme:

An 07 TE510 clutch lever is interchangable with a 05.5 950, both have Magura master cylinders.

Hey Guys just asking....

Can KTM Brembo clutch pump and slave pump be fitted into our husky 08-09 TE??
as the parts for husky magura clutch pump cost SGD400++.. and KTM brembo clutch cost SGD $350++ for the full set with slave pump.

Be cos KTM brembo clutch pump can be fitted with zeta levers

Clutch: Flanders Co. part 402-61106 $17.10 http://www.flandersco.com

Fits perfect and has the little bump to activate the start switch.

Flanders = Old school motorcycle parts co in Pasadena CA. I spoke to Paul Flanders (owner) and he was very cool, promoting the local D37 dual sport rides.

p.s. shorty clutch lever: 402-61105 (have not bought this one yet) Both parts numbers are for KTM (I usually search for 2005 EXC 450) listings in their catalog.

sorry for the old thread revive, but wondering what options there are out there for shorter levers for clutch and brake - other then cutting my stock ones, which I have done, but I like having a bit of the lever on the end curving back to help hold on when you need to..

don't want/need unbreakable or new perch etc. just something like a Moose shorty lever would be prefect..
