  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc Little help with a CR125 please

We set his at 20mm and mine has been running my 165 without any problems so I don't think it's a carb issue. If we don't figure it out I'll pop on my SC when it gets back to totally rule out the carb. Thanks for your suggestion.
John didn't I tell you that someone broke into my shop and stole your smart carb? It was boxed up and ready to be shipped. I can't imagine how anyone would know where to look for it and passed up all the other goodies that are in there. We have never had a break-in in all my life. Can't imagine how this could happen. I feel really bad........I should be able to recover it about the time mine gets here.:D

OH my . Walt did you get a good chance to test it out? You can keep it a liitle longer if you like. That is if you can catch up with the thief . The TC makes me look good on the MX track :D.

No I'm waiting on my friend who paid $1,300.00 to sell it to me for $1,000.00 :D. Seller was asking $1,900.00 but it had to act up on the test ride so he paid a little less and I hope to too.

My friend dropped the bike off at a diesel truck mechanics home that also works and races bikes. He will put something in line with the spark plug to see if it's losing spart when it cuts out and suppects it's the CDI electric box. He's going to bring something home to check that tomorrow. Anybody have one go bad?

He has not checked the spark yet. That is what he is going to do tommorow, and no John Im not selling it to you for 1000.00 lol. Still would like to find a CDI box if that is it.

I think you should sell it to me for $800 and I will find that carb thief sooner.

Mechanics just checked the bike and said it's losing spark for sure most likely the CDI but he's digging a little deeper. My friend called Hall's and they said they don't sell the CDI separate for the 06 anymore as it was upgraded and you need a new stator too; cost is $400.00 for them. So it is an electrical issue.

Thanks for all the help guys. Just to let every one know it was the CDI box. Pluged on new box runs like a champ. Walt thanks for getting me that box. Please send me a PM with your address and also some instructions on how to hook up the map switch. Thanks again.
