• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Looks like it will be Beta for me

I don't think it will be a big leap or even a small jump. More like a small step if half the stuff I've read about them is true. Sounds like very soild bikes and a great family owned company. Good luck and since you and I have the same bikes now I look forward to your review on the Betas.

I gotta tell you, in late Nov. I bought a 350rr !!! The bike is great, so much so next week my new byob 250rr will be in !!
Now I did sell my TE 510,610, and a wr 250 to help fund this. IF the 250rr is as good a bike as the wr250 was and has estart WIN WIN.

Beta which are super nice and real Italian bikes are now getting too mainstream for my wierdo self....probably TM Racing 300 2T will be my next machine.

TM are kind of unusual... but but have had a fair amount of press. Go Fantic****************************************!!

The Betas sure are sweet however... picturing the 300 as a Vet MXer/GP style bike.

Love motorcycles in general and have had many brands, but this is not the hey I'm a Beta dealer for all you nervous Husky owners Forum.
go pedal it somewhere else.

Like I said before, I love, still own, and ride my two Husqvarnas.
Not trying to sell or pedal anything, I have been part of this community since 2009, have made friends, bought and sold bikes and parts, gotten together to ride with other members, so I thought maybe some of them would like to know what I am up to, maybe not.
It's baby steps at this point, but maybe I become a dealer for the new Husqvarna down the road. Never say never....

Water Racer seems like good peeps, has always been a husky guy and he posts are good and helpful. Nothing wrong IMHO with him letting us know what he is up to. People that want a Beta will buy a Beta, might as well get it from what seems like a good guy. Its the people that go a different brand and then instantly start the bashing of husky I have no need for. All good bikes, built for having a good time. Lets leave it at that. choose the one you like and enjoy.

I wish water racer the best. Yes, maybe he will come back to the fold after he realizes that doing business with the Italians is challenging at the very least. Husqvarna is a brand that can not die. Bata has got some great press and I see that they are out there in the races but when it comes to staying local and having a committed dealer supporting the bike you bought. Well thats why there are generations of loyalty.
Now that there is change happening to Husqberg, why not apply to become a dealer?

Thanks for the wishes, I have experience dealing with Italians from my years of racing power boat World Championships in Europe. So far American Beta has been EXTREMELY easy to deal with, that is the main reason I felt I could take the plunge.
Like I said before, it is baby steps for now, I won't rule out taking on the New Husqvarna in the future, but as far as loyalty goes, the only thing Husqvarna about the new bike will be the name on the shroud.

I have not left the fold, I have both my WR125 and TC250 prepped for a race next week, just have to flip a coin and see which one I race!

Congrats Water - you'll find the bikes and the company very easy to deal with. I'm demo'ing a 250RR after a couple years on Spanish 250s and 300s and have been really impressed with it.
