    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Looks like Safari tanks are just about ready to go...

I have a Safari on my TE 450 and it has worked perfectly for me for 2 years. Many falls in rocks and gravel and still looks good; it's red too. I must admit the partial black is a winner! Please build it like this and you will get my $800 for it!
 
The TR650 Husky tanks are on the buy part of the Safari site. Just ordered mine. I will post more angle pivs than they show when I get it, with a better description
 
Any thoughts on what that tank, full of fuel, is going to do to the front fork feel? Make harshness better or worse? It will certainly take up more travel as "preload", eh?
 
There will be a bit more load on the front AND the back as tank is slightly forward of centre of bike from the pics. Still only about 18kg extra total. welll within preloadable range, though I would reckon if you were doing long rides, or filling both tanks often, fitting heavier springs may be worth it. If you are loaded touring you should have done this anyway. If the front is harsh for you, it may well smooth it up a bit. Have you reduced the fork oil viscosity in the compression side of the forks to reduce the harshness?
 
E mailed Safari.AU and they referred me to Safari tank USA for over here. They took my order but tanks won't be here for a bit. They only get bulk shipments from AU every 12 weeks. Won't see it for about 10/12 as they just got a shipment 2 weeks ago.

Greg, did you get the installation instructions via .pdf file? Really want to see what is involved for the installation.
 
What i surprise most of Terra is the mileage.. WOW last full tank it makes me wonder.. 323km 11,5 liter. so the range is 14l 393 km incredible!


I could be wrong, but the safari tank mileage, considering the last mileage i have got , it could be 898km to 32 liter tank. which is incredible.. i will be glad if somebody
match my mileage.. My Terra has already 16.000km and the mileage is better every day.

I believe someone on here reported 70 mpg - 3.36L/100km. During break in i got 68 mpg. I Average 58/60 mpg - 3.92L/100km.

yes, that is what i have got during firts 5.000km, but now is getting better and better.
that means 125cc fuel consum.. WOW

Tanks for the update on price/avail. Be sure and post some pics, did you install the GPR yet, i so any feedback and of course pics?
