• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

The Bing is going.
Seeking to buy a Mikuni VM34 for my 1979 125cr.
Where can I find info re jet sizes etc.
Could also do with advice re intake and carb/air box boot etc so I can set it all up properly.
Thank you

Just when I think I know what I want and you guys come up with Lectron LOL.
Okay....I need to investigate this......is there a UK dealer I should be speaking with or who is best please? Do they come correctly jetted etc if I send my details? Thank you for your help yet again!!

I found the best way is to order one directly from Motorspotz in the U.S. Price is not much different from the UK. But Kelly is a Husky rider so knows the score. They will ask you for the two diameters and the overall length. The carb will then fit perfectly. Yes, they come set correctly for your bike. There are no jets, just a metering rod and a "power valve" screw. Simplicity at it's best.

Kelly can be found on this site under 'Motorsportz'. Send him a PM. There are loads of threads on this site. Both in this side and the modern.

kelly doesnt deal with them anymore. its best to deal with lectron directly..they are great to deal with and at the very least will put you in touch with someone over there to help.

I ran the Lectron on my Mag last season. Had the Mikuni on it prior to that and a stock Bing prior to that. The Bing performed the best , the Lectron wa easiest yo tune and the mikuni worked trouble free but lacked in performance when compared to the Lectron and stock Bing..
