• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Missing Bolt?

Hello guys! Today upon cleaning my bike, I've realized that there is a bolt missing on the right side of the bike that connects the cylinder to the frame. I'm not sure if i lost it or it wasnt there from the start (there is no bolt head mark or scratch on the frame where the bolt goes in.) Also there is a gap present between the frame and the cylinder where the bolt is missing and not on the other side.

Missing bolt:

The gap:

How the connection looks like on the left side:

And at last this:
It seems like some kind of a bolt should go through there but it wouldn't connect to anything else!

Can someone please check on their bike if it's the same case or i lost some bolts. Thank you!

Looking at some pics of other tr's i can see that that bolt is suppose to be there. Im guessing the frame is bent as well since there is that big of a gap :(

Looking back, i did have a little accident where a lady rearended me at a stop sign striking me in the rear tire. The impact seemed kind of strong, but after examining the bike, no visible damage was done. Now im thinking that she might have bent my frame which forced the bolt to unscrew over time?? Grrrr

Yup, spacer on right.

Nothing goes in that other spot. I think that's for the beemers.

Happened to me too. I had put on crash bars, torqued to what I thought was the same amount, but I guess it backed out. Replaced with some stainless steel washers and medium loctite.
