• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

mitas e-o9's

Both, but remember, l ride the Strada, not the terra, closer to the ground lol

Just put a set of Eo9's Dhaka on my bike it changed the turn and lean angle did you get the same thing?? it feels like a whole new bike. There are still green but still don't feel safe leaning it over as much and aggressively as the stocks. what was the change for you?

Just push through it for a while and it should come good. I think this is pretty standard for new tyres with square knobs. My Terra is the first bike i've put knobbies on. When the first set on (Karoo 2) , I had exactly the same reaction. I rode out of the shop where the tyres were fitted and the front tyre refused to turn into corners. The E-09D I have on now felt much more 'normal' when they were new. First ride out I was pushing the front very hard through the twisties.

When I first got them, l was steady on them, very steady. But after about 500k on them, gained a lot of confidence riding with them. I have just swapped out themfront for the E07 on the front and have increased the rake on the forks, totally new bike, Hope to get the E07 for the rear next Friday. I don't need such an aggressive tire on the Strada.
I will see how they go.

Increased the "rake" How?

OI we still need to catch up for a ride. I don't work week ends any more unlike last time fail.

Hey K9, l "lowered" the forks in the tree, ineffect increasing the wheel base.

hey Snail, we most definitely need to get out for a ride. Lol

Well the E09's have left the bike, with a nice shiny set of E07's fitted front and rear, thanks to Matt and Simon at Motosapien in Cairns, sorry for the shameless plug lol. And have already hit the dirt with them, just a bit of loose rocky road and loose sand, and with the adjustments, it is a much "nicer" ride off road. On road, l did have some haed shake, but with "lowering" the front forks and going 1 click softer on the rear, this thing travels straight as a die now, no head shake at all, and a lot less wind buffeting in the strong winds :)
I will post up a couple of picks as soon as l can.

Rather enjoying my Mefo 99 rear & E-10 front, 600plus Klms last weekend, including the torrential downpour south of Nabiac, am pleasently surprised by the grip of the E-10 on mud & wet clay, The Mefo appears to offer more than K60
Let's see how many Klms l get out of the tyres, especially now l have the motor sorted (well 98%) - given that my confidence in the motor is allowing/encouraging me to expand my riding abilities, both road & dirt
