• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Motoz ice tire by Fredette Racing

I never had any luck with the staggered screw pattern over the years on the front tires, maybe I'm not angling them like I should. Only one screw ends up doing all the work for some reason and the staggered screw next to it just floats. You can tell by pulling the screws out of the tire and you will see what screws are doing the most damage to the knob. Staggering the screws in the back works great.

I'm not sure why the front works but virtually everyone I ride with has that same exact ed-11 front. 2 guys that rode mine couldn't believe how well the front gripped and handled braking and they have the same tire so maybe I just got a good one who knows?? Was only my 2nd time out but I'm picking things up fast and hanging with everyone!

Not sure what class they are riding but he has a kx250 2s with fredette motoz on the rear I think they just have a 3 man team right now but that could change. I can't make this weekend but might get to do the one towards the end of the month. Right now my WR300 is set to ride ice had issues dialing in the rekluse last weekend but think I have it all working right now so it should be fun next time out! They wanted to use my 300 this time but maybe next time when i go ill bring it?? Good luck.

Good luck to all you guys, wish I was closer I'd bring some studs to race. Not me, LOL. Hopefully our club pulls off an ice race in NY this weekend. Be safe and be sure to helmet cam the race for us. Let us know how the knobbie holds up. Good luck Mark and Stewie, was good to talk the other day. Got my mind spinning now. Happy New Year.
