• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Motoz mountain hybrid review.

Thanks for the feedback. Sucks about the flat. I've had really good luck with no pinch flats on Motoz tires for a few years now. Probably get several this year now that I said that.

In regards to pinch flats have you or any one tried a product called "Tire Saddle"? I just heard about them this past weekend.

First ride on the MotoZ Mountain Hybrid yesterday. Ran it at 8 psi per the local bike shop recommendation. Pinch flatted within the first 40 minutes. Yesterday was a little more open, fast and rocky than my normal riding. We'll see how it goes today in a normal area for me. While it was inflated it was really nice.

Interesting in that the pinch was right at the rim lock. I think this is going to be a candidate for a drilled GT mousse.

Update: I believe that my trusty 15 year old bicycle pump has finally gone wonky. I started having problems with it last week getting my sons mountain bike ready for a training ride. Today I checked the tire pressure with my dial gauge. The gauge reads almost 10 lbs less than the gauge connected to the pump! It is very likely that I had more like 2 lbs in the tire yesterday. I ran it today for about 7 hours. Lots of rocky sections. Grip sucked at 12. A little better at 10, but was very good at 8. Plus, I think, this is one of those tires that needs 5 or more hours on it before it really performs as it should.

THAT LOOKS GOOD THINK ILL TRY ONE MY TUBLISS DEAL SURE AINT WORKIN OUT

Do tell?? I've run tubeless mountain bike tires for years. Works great with Stan's sealant. My son racing on tubeless MTB tires. Though, the Tubliss MC system is a lot different than MTB tubeless.

I GET HOLES IN THE TIRE I'V GIVEN UP JUST RUN IT FLAT TILL THE KNOBS ALL GET RIPPED OFF I'V NOT TRIED A SEALANT THE TUBLISS THOUGH AS PROVEN BOMBPROOF ITS GOTTA BE SOME WEIRD PLANETARY ALIGNMENT DEAL WITH THIS BIKE I CAN GET A HOLE IN A BRAND NEW TIRE LITERARY RIDING A ROUND THE FRONT YARD AND THIS BIKE DONE IT SINCE IT WAS UNCREATED 45 YEARS I'V BEEN DOING THIS NEVER SEEN ANY THING LIKE IT:confused:

I sent them an email. Not sure if they're for sale yet?

Edit. I figured it out. $80 for a set. Seems doable. To pull the trigger or call it snake oil. Decisions.

Its very important what tires you run with tubeliss. Call them, they have a list of the good ones.

I read some Ok reviews but did not seem like they are all that great, look forward to your thoughts on it.

That sounds a little more in line with what I have experienced. I thought it a little odd that you pinch flatted the tire at 8psi. Not to say it couldn't happen, just that in my experience with motoz tires in general that sounded odd. Bummer about your pump though.

Another cursed Husky?
Seriously, it's expensive, but try Stan's. http://www.notubes.com/

Stan's dries up around 2 months time for a scoopfull. I use it in my XC wheels but the Husky had been using Ride-On. That stuff is excellent. It doesn't dry up like Stan's. Stays around so long I reused the tubes and Ride-On after a season in a new set of tires for another season. Still fluid when I removed to install mousses. Available in 8oz and 50 gallon drums at your dealer.
