• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Many of you have been contacting me for Motoz. unfortunately the US distributor is pretty much out until end end of April. this sucks but thats the deal. Will let you kniow when we have piles of them again.

thanks

Good thing I only have 800 miles on mine and they still look like new. Shouldn't be a problem waiting until April, other than having to change them between two bikes :)

I now have over 400 miles on my terrapactor and it has at least that left in it. Amazing as it is supposed to be their lightest duty MX tire.

Sent you an e-mail about what model motozs I should have on my TXC 250 for harescrambles. Real interested in getting a set when they become available.

Are you creating a waiting list for them?

If so, I'd be interested to hear what you think I should put on my CRF250R for 80% mx / 20% trail around west WA - and then to be put on the list to purchase a set... :) I'm torn between the Terrapactor and Tracula, but am not even sure if that's correct because I'm new to the area and haven't seen the conditions here, yet... Normal tire sizes are 80/100/21 and 100/90/19, though I'm guessing you knew that. :D

I'm happy to send you an email, too, if that's the preferred way of chatting!

That container can't get here soon enough. I just don't feel right unless I have a set of spair tires for the 144 sitting on the shelf. I probably won't need it until middle of the summer the way these wear but you just never know.
