  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I think it will still be a week or two before it is here from the east coast. I'll sleep fine, not my first new bike. I am excited to see and ride this sexy new beast though.

I'm excited for you! I know you've been waiting for a loooong time. Can't wait for the ride report. How long until we see some aftermarket goodies?

Congrats Kelly.

When I first got mine I was a little apprehensive to say the least. That's a lot of bike for the trail. But once I got it dialed in I loved it. It will be limited to more open trails but it took me a long time before I let it prove that to me. (A Trials bike it is not) I had to adjust my riding day to riding the real tight stuff early in the day when I was fresh and not at the end when the bike would get the better of me. You won't fling it around quite like you 125.

But I really think you will enjoy it even more than your 450.
Let us know.

CONGRATS! Hey.... since it's on the east coast and you are in no hurry to get it would you like me to break it in for ya while it's over here? jk I can't wait until your ride report, enjoy!

TE511 cuz I'm going to use it as my DS and open bike.

any ideas on how to solve the small fuel capacity issue? Also how does the 511 (stroke/bore) compare to the pre 2011 bike (TE510)?

From the specs, the overall gearing spread is almost identical but the 511 does have some minor changes as you row through the gears.
