• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Not the best start to your new relationship! Is it the seal behind the front sprocket which has gone?

Yeah, not the best pic the gear lever is in the way, the dealer is send me a new seal, my schedule is a bit tight so not sure if I can get it in this week. Yeah that's what you get for buying a low k bike been sitting about a bit, so now I'm wondering how many other seals have gone brittle.

Went riding in Heaton forest today, after an hour and half came across huge hill. Was I tired or ready to level up who knows made it 3/4 of the way up before coming off. Tried to go further, but just spinning the wheels. Managed to turn her around got half way down before off I came again. This time I snap the clutch lever. Went and had a rest in the shade 31 degrees C and drank all my water.
Feeling refreshed jumped on the bike made it don the hill, went to a servo to by a sugary drink and sat talking to a bloke who had just walked down that same hill, he shook his head I said I did come of twice. He said did you hit your head, no I just slid on my bum and back I said, he smiled.
Anyways forty K's from home with a one finger clutch made it to the last red light before home and had to just stall the bike use two hands to pull the clutch in to restart, my bicep and forearm was so pumped rode the last 3blocks home in second my finger had had enough. Things we do for fun.
Got home and saw my eye in the mirror, new clutch lever on order can't wait to do it again.
